ChatGPT is quickly becoming one of the most talked about Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, with enthusiasts and professionals alike jumping on the bandwagon in a bid to maximize productivity. AI programs like ChatGPT can generate personalized content, helping marketers, entrepreneurs, and businesses create copy, write emails, create product descriptions and so much more in a fraction of the time. Lance Junck was among the first to recognize the efficiency of ChatGPT, and, upon realizing its power, he decided to capitalize on it by launching a course on the platform.
Junck launched a ChatGPT Masterclass online course on the online education platform, Udemy, in late December, teaching students how to craft their first ChatGPT prompts, use the AI for businesses and programming, and more. In less than four months the course managed to accumulate more than 23K students, resulting in a staggering $52,000 in revenues.
Junck is one of the hundreds of instructors who have taken to teaching users how to use ChatGPT. The online learning platform Udemy alone currently offers nearly 430 course on ChatGPT, with more than 417k learners having already enrolled in them – a 47% rise since this March. Numbers are similarly impressive on other platforms, with 61 courses on the Skillshare platform and 10 on the Coursera platform.
Many of these instructors, like Junck, Peggy Dean and Saurabh Bhatia, are self-taught, having put in the work to better understand the power of this AI and learn to use it in their own projects. Dean, an artist and art teacher, has used ChatGPT to improve her SEO, write descriptions and landing pages, and to create presentations for her online art school. With her ChatGPT for Creatives class hosted on Skillshare, Dean has seen remarkable success – her course alone has earned her more than $10,000. Similarly, Bhatia, a medical doctor has equipped his e-book creation course with an AI component, and has seen a “significant increase” in course sales since then.
However, some may underestimate the effectiveness of ChatGPT as it requires expertise and skill in order to produce desired output. As a result, these courses prove useful in teaching users how to use the chatbot effectively, providing an excellent service and hopefully earning more instructors some cash for their work!
