Majority of Indian workers anxious over job security due to AI, reveals Microsoft study

According to the ‘Work Trend Index 2023’ report by global tech giant, Microsoft, 74% of Indian employees are worried about losing their jobs to AI. The potential impact of AI on industries and activities has prompted speculation and concern about how it could transform the workforce. On the other hand, the report also found that over 80% of Indian workers are willing to delegate more tasks to AI in order to reduce their workloads. However, the biggest challenge for governments worldwide is that generative AI could potentially replace tens of millions of jobs. The report surveyed employees and leaders across 31 countries, indicating a growing global trend towards anxiety about AI’s impact on the workforce.
