Magmic, the award-winning mobile game developer, has been invited to participate in Pocket Gamer Connects Toronto to discuss the integration of ChatGPT into its popular mobile game, ‘Hasbro’s Scattergories’. This conference, known as a leading event in the mobile gaming industry, will bring together over 750 games industry professionals to network, discover, pitch, and learn from industry authorities.
The integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT into Scattergories Mobile App was announced in May 2023, providing new insights and data since the update. Magmic CEO and president, Mohammad Agha, expressed excitement about sharing the advancements made through this integration. He mentioned that they now have over three months’ worth of data to compare the processes before and after AI integration. This data includes key performance indicators (KPIs) that highlight the difference made by AI in the game, as well as the challenges faced during the integration and potential future uses for the technology.
Scattergories, which has accumulated nearly 4 million installations since its launch, faces the challenge of keeping its answer database up to date and complete. To address this hurdle, Magmic incorporated ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence tool created by OpenAI in November 2022. With ChatGPT, users can generate original text and ask questions to enhance game question and answer databases, as seen in the Scattergories integration.
Magmic Co-Founder and CTO, Joshua Ostrowalker, emphasized the company’s dedication to stay at the forefront of new technologies in the mobile gaming industry, particularly in the Web3 realm. He expressed the intention to continue testing the ChatGPT integration and incorporating it into their entire portfolio of hundreds of mobile games based on the success experienced with Scattergories.
