Artificial Intelligence continues to be a major force in our daily lives. Microsoft’s popular Android keyboard app, SwiftKey, has just received an upgrade, introducing the chatbot AI. This Bing chatbot is available to all users who install the beta version of SwiftKey. It is simple to access the chatbot, with the version featuring three options, namely, Bing Search, Chat, and Tone. The Chat option allows user to interact with the Bing chatbot while the Tone tab will assist users in finding conversation starters and suggests replies with a similar emotional tone.
Right now, this AI technology is only available on Android, while users on other operating systems will have to access the Bing chatbot through the Bing app or via a web browser. Microsoft is hoping to make a big splash with the introduction of its AI-enhanced chatbot and has high hopes for its future within the AI world.
Kobo, a company known for their e-readers as an alternative to Amazon Kindles, has just released the Elipsa 2E – an E-Ink tablet. This tablet, which retails for $400, features a 10.3-inch screen to read documents, ebooks and take notes with an accompanying pen. It is a stiff competition to rivals like the ReMarkable 2 and Amazon’s Kindle Scribe, both of which have quite an impressive head start in the market. Despite the challenge, Kobo continues to produce excellent quality products that may face the challenge of slowly but surely emerging as a go-to option.
Google also isn’t slacking behind in the consumer technology space. Recently, the platform has been made the move to add a Podcasts tab to its YouTube Music app. This is being taken as a move to dissolve the dedicated Google Play Music service and Podcasts mobile app all into YouTube Music. As podcasts, in general, become increasingly popular and as Google’s influence continues to grow, the platform may see that it can get traction with a more unified offering, allowing users to access all of their content from one place.
