Lazada Group has just showcased their newest product, LazzieChat – the first ever ChatGPT-powered AI chatbot designed for eCommerce. This chatbot is meant to provide a customer-oriented experience while shopping on the platform by helping them answer queries, find the right products, and receive personalized advice. In order to create a seamless experience for customers, Lazada has combined Artificial Intelligence and Microsoft Azure OpenAI technologies to understand and respond to any query posed.
Led by Chief Technology Officer Howard Wang, Lazada aims to bridge the gap between online and offline shopping by providing a smooth and high-quality experience through AI technology. Customers using LazzieChat can conveniently search for product descriptions and explore recommendations tailored for their interests. This chatbot also works proactively to ensure it responds appropriately and responsibly to any query.
Currently, LazzieChat is available to customers in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, and can be accessed from the Lazada app by swiping down on the homepage. This AI chatbot should prove to be useful for Lazada’s top-selling fast-moving consumer goods, like fashion and beauty items.
In terms of the company itself, Lazada Group is headquartered in Singapore and operates the biggest eCommerce platforms in Southeast Asia. The company markets products and services at more than 300,000 sellers, 180,000 brands, and more than 600 million monthly active consumers.
