Indian executives recently paid a visit to the headquarters of leading game publisher Krafton in southern Seoul to explore potential collaborations in the gaming and AI sectors. The meeting, which took place last Friday, saw the participation of about 20 C-suite executives from Indian IT companies, venture capital firms, and private equity firms, including Nitish Mittersain, the CEO of Nazara Technologies, India’s only listed gaming company known for popular titles like Kiddopia, Animal Jam, and WCC3.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around Krafton’s successful foray into the Indian gaming market with Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile India, as well as prevalent industry trends and advancements in AI technology. Krafton’s CEO Kim Chang-han expressed his excitement about the potential collaborations, stating that the gaming industry plays a crucial role in technological advancement and cultural exchange, with significant growth prospects in the global market.
The visit of Indian leaders to Krafton was facilitated through the Young Presidents’ Organization, a prestigious global group that boasts around 34,000 leaders from 140 countries as its members. This interaction provided a valuable platform for influential figures in India’s key industries to engage in meaningful conversations about the future of the gaming industry and the transformative potential of AI technology.
Looking ahead, Krafton is gearing up to launch its new battle royale shooter game, Bullet Echo India, on April 24. This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Indian gaming market and further solidifying its position as a key player in the global gaming industry. The collaboration efforts between Krafton and Indian executives signal a promising avenue for driving innovation, fostering technological advancements, and promoting cross-cultural exchanges in the dynamic world of gaming and AI.
