Jack Dorsey Criticizes Elon Musk for Recklessly Launching New Twitter Features Without Proper Thought.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey recently criticized Elon Musk for rushing out new Twitter features that were not properly thought out and were fairly reckless. In an interview posted on the Breaking Points YouTube channel, Dorsey discussed Musk’s time running Twitter and said he had been asked to join Twitter’s board several times before joining in April of last year. However, after Musk tried to back out of buying the company and prompted a lawsuit from Twitter, Dorsey said things took a turn. He believes this set a dynamic where Musk had to be hasty and move as quickly as possible with features, even if they weren’t fully thought out. While Dorsey did not mention any specific Twitter features in the interview, Musk has introduced paid Twitter Blue check marks and subscriptions, and the company has been pivoting toward building live video products and services on the app. Dorsey did express support for Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, who stepped into her role at the company last week. Musk stepped down from his role as CEO last week and transitioned to a role as executive chair and chief technology officer at Twitter.
