Is ChatGPT Plus Subscription Worth It? Comparing GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 Technology

Date:

OpenAI’s latest language model, GPT-4, has been released and is available through the subscription-based service ChatGPT Plus. The new model is touted to be 10 times more advanced than its predecessor, GPT-3.5 and is said to offer users more accurate and coherent responses. Despite still being an auto-complete machine, ChatGPT-4 has achieved a higher score than GPT-3.5 on exams such as the LSAT, SAT, Uniform Bar Exam, and GRE. According to OpenAI, the model’s answers are 40% more likely to produce factual responses than GPT-3.5. While improvements have been made, ChatGPT-4 is not a replacement for human knowledge or intelligence. It is a useful aid for work, though the service may not be worth its subscription fee to everyone.
