Investors show more interest in Apple ChatGPT competitor instead of XR headset, says Kuo

Apple investors are reportedly more interested in the tech giant’s ChatGPT alternative than its mixed reality headset, according to reliable Apple insider and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Speaking with investors, Kuo claimed that the headset was unlikely to make substantial revenue for suppliers in the next two years, ending 2025. Meanwhile, Apple’s generative AI (AIGC) tool could create a market demand for new, more powerful hardware, Kuo said. Kuo also suggested that the success of an XR headset could be paired with other Apple wearables and products to benefit the company and suppliers.
