Financial services company Intuit is taking their AI technology to the next level with the launch of its new “GenStudio” – a generative AI lab for employees from various backgrounds to experiment with this groundbreaking technology. This lab provides a platform for Intuit to explore the potential of generative AI and create their own safeguards against risks. The brains behind this lab, Chief Data Officer Ashok Srivastava and Chief Technology Officer Mariana Tessel, are set to share their experiences of setting up this lab at the VB Transform event in San Francisco on July 11 and 12.
This isn’t the first time Intuit has dabbled in artificial intelligence though. Back in 2021, the company adopted OpenAI’s ChatGPT, a powerful chatbot, and released two million AI models in order to offer personalized AI experiences to customers. With these models in play, the company is hoping to reduce customer call time by a staggering one million hours a year.
In a recent interview, Tessel shared some of the strategies they will be implementing in 2023 and beyond to stay ahead in the AI game. She highlighted the company’s interest in LLMs, or large language models, and explained how these models could help improve customer service.
As Srivastava noted, Intuit has already achieved exciting results from utilizing generative AI in the form of reduced customer call times, and is looking forward to sharing this success with others at Transform. He added that the preliminary testing of other generative capabilities have been extraordinary.
This journey of Intuit’s demonstrates their commitment to embracing the latest in enterprise technology and AI. With the insights from Srivastava and Tessel, other companies can get a better idea of how to implement and optimize their AI investments for greater success.
