Class Technologies has revealed their plans to launch a beta version of their A.I. Teaching Assistant, which has been designed to improve student engagement and learning outcomes in online classes. The A.I. Teaching Assistant is made possible by ChatGPT, allowing learners to interact with a chat interface and ask questions that then generate answers from what was previously taught in the class. Highlighted transcripts of spoken text can also be viewed for further understanding. As an extra resource, students can access a special ‘study guide’ for a selected class.
The co-founder and CEO of Class Technologies, Michael Chasen, expressed his enthusiasm for the potential of AI to reach more students and engage them in their learning processes. Chasen mentioned that the A.I. Teaching Assistant is intended to simplify and streamline the classroom experience. Once the tool is officially released later this year, customers and instructors will have the option to decide whether or not they would like to use the A.I. Teaching Assistant in their courses. Class Technologies also assured they would remain compliant with applicable privacy regulations.
