Klarna, the global payments and shopping platform, just announced the latest updates and features to give their users a personalized shopping experience. The improvements include “Ask Klarna,” a personal shopping assistant; “Creator Shops”, a custom-made store for influencers; a AI powered discovery shopping feed; and a resell functionality. These features are geared towards addressing customers’ uncertainty with expensive online purchases such as luxury handbags and other items.
Klarna has also launched a new version of the app with different tabs like Shop, Purchases, In-Store, Budget and You so that users can more easily manage their purchase history and discover products. The Ask Klarna personal shopper service is free and open to U.S. users, while Creator Shops are currently available in three countries. In addition, Klarna is allowing users to resell products in the same way they were bought through Klarna. Ads Manager is another new feature for retailers to target the right shoppers for their products.
Klarna was founded in 2005, and in 18 years, has transformed into a global destination for smart tools, with over 150 million users. CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski is always looking for ways to make the shopping journey more enjoyable and create opportunities for retailers to grow their business. The company has been focusing on AI-powered tools such as the “ChatGPT” plugin that provides product recommendations and their new discovery shopping feed.
Content creators also benefit from Klarna’s suite of updates with the Creator app. The app allows influencers to track their performance, earnings, and sales. 12,000 vetted creators are currently signed up, and they now have the ability to launch their own personalized storefronts on Klarna. This feature allows creators to link their posts to products and gives followers the chance to purchase the items.
Klarna’s focus on personalization and AI is transforming the digital shopping experience, and the company hopes their updates can help give customers the confidence needed to make expensive online purchases.
