Class Technologies has announced plans for the beta release of their A.I. Teaching Assistant – a ChatGPT-powered tool designed to improve engagement and results in online learning. This tool comes as a response to increasing demand for scaling the impact of great teachers and improving the learning experience for students.
The A.I. Teaching Assistant provides an interactive chat interface for students, who can ask questions and receive relevant answers based on the topics and materials presented in the course. In addition, students can highlight portions of the spoken text and receive an AI description of those parts, providing more detail and aiding in classes. The tool also provides a study guide developed to supplement course material and notes.
Leading this project is co-founder and CEO Michael Chasen, with a passion to utilize AI technology to scale the reach of great teachers and influence the outcomes of their students. When the AI Assistant is released later this year, customers and individual teachers will have control over whether or not to use the tool in their courses. Class Technologies will work together with the educational community to create best practices and policies for using AI in the classroom, remaining compliant with all necessary data privacy requirements.
