Ox Appsec Security Ltd. today unveiled OX-GPT, a ChatGPT integration to enhance software supply chain security. Through this integration, developers can obtain tailored solutions to improve the security of the software supply chain.
This integration was spurred by the raise of OpenAI LP’s ChatGPT utilized by hackers to find security loopholes, build malware and fabricate phishing emails. As such, Ox Appsec sees the potential to use AI to protect the software supply chain.
Being equipped with too many tools for security teams, it can present a challenge to sift through all the alerts and tasks. This can cause developers to lose confidence in these tools, devoting less attention and engagement to protecting the software supply chain. OX-GPT provides developers with more information and control in the security and remediation processes.
When an issue is detected, OX-GPT gives developers context, such as highlighting the threat of the code to the organization, the probable impact of an attack and how to patch the issue. Moreover, OX-GPT offers cut-and-paste code that comes with an explanation for why it is effective in fixing the problems expeditiously.
This feature can reduce the time spent on remediation and promote better usage of the tools to secure the software supply chain. Neatsun Ziv, CEO and co-founder of Ox Appsec, believes “we want to bring that trust back”.
