IBM Signs Groundbreaking MoUs with Indian Government for Semiconductors, AI, and Quantum
IBM, a leading global technology company, has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Government of India to collaborate on groundbreaking initiatives in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum computing. The MoUs were formalized on October 18, with the presence of Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar expressed the significance of this collaboration, stating that these technologies will shape the future of tech and innovation. He emphasized the tremendous opportunities that these technologies present for India’s academic ecosystem, startups, and innovation ecosystem, as well as the broader potential for creating global-standard talent in the country.
The first MoU focuses on semiconductor research, which involves the development of various ecosystems for the India Semiconductor Mission.
