OpenAI’s ChatGPT has become one of the most popular AI chatbots out there. However, the fact that ChatGPT stores chat history has raised some privacy concerns amongst some users. But users can now turn off chat history and even delete existing chat history.
ChatGPT saves all chat history, including questions and answers, and can be accessed through your OpenAI account. It’s saved to help OpenAI assess queries and responses, improving the AI model for future use.
Turning off chat history from ChatGPT is simple, but previously saved conversations can still be kept for 30 days before they’re permanently deleted. They’ll only be used to monitor and review cases of abuse.
To share an account with others or if you prefer a clutter-free experience, it’s best to delete the previous conversations.
