Hallo Launches New Career Coaching Platform with GPT-4 Coach Boris

Date:

Hallo, a career services platform, has released an updated version of their website to connect students with career opportunities. Hallo’s latest offering will feature a personalized career coach dubbed Boris, a role that will be entirely AI-powered. This free platform, driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning, will allow students access to virtual conferences, career fairs, and an opportunity to have individual-1-1 talks with leaders of established organizations, as well as Fortune 500 companies. The platform’s CEO, Vern Howard, stated Hallo aims to eliminate the silver spoon and improve user access to career opportunities regardless of class level, gender, or education pedigree. To sign up and view available job opportunities, students create an account and respond to an onboarding questionnaire that will recommend preferred networking events and webinars. Boris, whose name was inspired by the infamous 007 GoldenEye hacker, will help high school and college graduates prepare for interviews with top employers worldwide. This tool will mimic the diverse experiences that hiring managers relay to interview candidates and offer guidance on posture and tone, resume feedback, and interview prompt insights. Hollo has cited new investments from Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund and 4S Bay Partners, with a mission to eliminate prejudices and inequities, as one of the reasons for their expansion in the job market platform. Hallo aims to cater to job seekers who have limited access to guidance and information provided by career services centers. While Hallo’s services are free, users can subscribe to access Boris’s services, which cost $5 monthly or $40 for the entire academic year. According to the company, over 1,300 educational institutions are utilizing Hallo’s platform to connect graduates with established industry companies recruiting on their website.
