Google’s AI chatbot Bard has received a significant new update, adding precise location support to provide more relevant responses to user queries. By enabling Google Bard to access a user’s device location, the chatbot can offer more targeted local search results for restaurants, shops, and other businesses. This update is particularly useful for small and local businesses that rely on local search results to drive traffic and expand their reach. The precise location support feature is currently in beta testing and Google is working on supporting 40 languages soon. In addition, last month, Google added images to Bard, which can now provide visual responses to English queries. Google opened AI chatbot Bard to over 180 countries and territories, including India, and removed the waiting list for users to access the service. The announcement was made at the annual developers conference Google I/O 2023.
