In June, Google will join the foldable smartphone market with the launch of their Pixel Fold device. Google wants to demonstrate the advantages of their foldable technology, and the Pixel Fold will feature a 7.6-inch display and a battery that can last up to 24 hours. At a price of $1,700, the Pixel Fold will be one of the most expensive foldable devices available, though it was designed to be pocket-compatible when folded.

Google has been adapting Android for foldable devices and this launch will beat Apple to the market with foldable smartphones. Rumours have been circulating of foldable iPhones in the works, but it remains to be seen if this technology makes it to the iPad first.
