Google has recently launched a new chatbot called Bard which comes with a number of useful features that can increase productivity in the fast-paced world of work. While there are some skeptics of chatbots, Bard’s features offer a great way to capitalize on the benefits of AI-powered technologies.
One of Bard’s most useful features is dictation, which is currently not available on other chatbots such as ChatGPT. Using this feature, a user can simply press the microphone icon on the right side of the text input bar next to the input button and say what they want to be written. For example, a user can say Write a thank you email and Bard will respond with an email within seconds.
Another useful feature is multiple drafts. When Bard composes a response email, the user sees an option to display other drafts in the upper-right corner of the screen. This button allows Bard to automatically generate multiple drafts for the user to choose from.
Document sharing and Gmail is another interesting feature, which allows users to compose an email or message in response to their Google Bard response and share it via Gmail or Docs.
Google Bard also allows users to develop games, solve bugs, and create entire websites using simple prompts in over 20 programming languages. Users can even export their work directly to Google Collab to start their projects.
Recently, Bard received an update that improved its generative AI capabilities, making its reasoning powers stronger and smarter. Google also announced that Bard has been optimized with enhanced math and data analysis capabilities. The beta version of the update was released on June 7, 2023 and is now available worldwide.
At the recent Google I/O 2023, Bard was made available in over 180 countries and now enables multimodal responses and provides responses with images. Google has also introduced Bard apps and extensions.
