The Global Media Congress, currently taking place in Abu Dhabi, is focused on exploring the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology on media operations. The three-day event, now in its second edition, is organized in partnership with the United Arab Emirates’ news agency WAM, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The Congress has attracted over 13,500 participants, including 5,500 delegates and 200 CEOs from international media organizations.
In addition to participating in the Global Media Congress, AGERPRES collaborated with the Informatics Research Institute (ICI) in Bucharest to create a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These NFTs feature 35 historical images from AGERPRES’ archives and were successfully sold within a mere 15 minutes.
