The event will also mark the formal unveiling of the Shamsuddeen Usman Foundation (SUF), established and registered by his children to honor him and focus on promoting education in Nigeria.
Dr. Usman, who has held various key positions such as Minister of Finance, Minister of National Planning, and Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, among others, is known for his significant contributions to the country’s development.
According to Etim Etim, Chairman of the Media Sub-Committee, the book offers valuable insights into the dynamics of government, policymaking, economic management, and the growth trajectory of developing economies, with specific reference to Nigeria.
The statement highlighted that the publication would serve as a vital resource for policymakers, academics, business leaders, and officials in understanding the complexities of governance, policy implementation, and economic growth.
Furthermore, the Shamsuddeen Usman Foundation aims to foster collaboration among individuals, corporations, researchers, and students to explore innovative AI and technological solutions for real-world challenges.
The proceeds from the book launch will be utilized to support the foundation’s initiatives. Sadiq Usman, Chairman of the Planning Committee, expressed anticipation for a distinguished gathering to honor Dr. Usman for his exemplary service to the nation.
The upcoming book launch and foundation unveiling are poised to be significant events that underscore the importance of knowledge sharing, education, and technological innovation in driving sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond.
