Jonathan Zweig, CEO of AppOnBoard, envisions the day when users simply describe their video game idea and artificial intelligence bring it to life. He believes this powerful collaboration between human creativity and AI will help the company reach its goal of democratizing game creation. Buildbox is used in over 180 countries and has already been responsible for huge hits on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, such as Color Switch with more than 100 million downloads.

Zweig refers to the innovation as ‘prompt engineering’, and he says it is much simpler than other similar tools on the market since it presents creators with assets that they can actually use in their games. This is different than other game engines, as it encourages AI training contributed to by the creator community. Also, the assets can be used in other game engines such as Unity and Unreal.

The addition of generative AI will hasten the game creation process and lower development costs. It is this type of technological advancement that is behind platforms like Roblox, which recently released its own generative AI tool and has achieved a huge mass of user-generated content. With Buildbox AI, anyone can become a game developer and bring their vision to life.
