Geely Partners with Foretellix to Accelerate Safe AV Development

Geely, a prominent Chinese automotive manufacturer, has joined forces with Foretellix, a leading provider of safety-oriented V&V solutions for Autonomous Vehicles (AV), to propel the development of AV technology. The partnership aims to facilitate the safe large-scale deployment of AVs while simultaneously reducing Geely’s R&D costs and enhancing development efficiency.

The collaboration between Geely and Foretellix will involve integrating Foretellix’s Foretify™ platform with Geely’s development and V&V processes alongside their advanced simulator. This integration will enable the efficient generation of synthetic data for AI training, automated scenario-based virtual testing, large-scale failure triage, performance and KPIs assessment, and the measurement of Operational Design Domain (ODD) coverage. The Foretify Platform will analyze driving logs from Geely’s test vehicles automatically and replay various scenarios in virtual simulations to maximize the utilization of physical drives.

Mr. ChuanHai Li, Vice President of Geely Research and Development, expressed the benefits of the Foretellix solution by stating, It will expedite and enhance Geely’s development and validation process, ensuring proper ODD coverage, quickly identifying unknown corner cases, and resolving them efficiently. This strategic partnership holds significance in Geely’s journey to overcome safety challenges and streamline the commercialization of AV technology.

Foretellix’s CEO and co-founder, Ziv Binyamini, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the opportunity to assist Geely in accelerating their strategy for safe, efficient, and cost-effective autonomy.
