Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova is the latest instalment in the much anticipated space strategy series from Stardock and is now available in early access on Steam and Epic Game Stores. This 4X strategy game, set in the 24th century, sees players taking on the role of a leader of a civilization who is tasked with exploring and colonizing the known universe.
Players must spread their civilization across the known universe and can make use of an array of new features and improvements, such as an improved combat system, Terror Stars that can destroy stars and the surrounding planets and ships, new alien civilizations to play as or against and a new research system with breakthrough technologies. Players can also enjoy an AI commander-in-chief that can manage their civilisation, as well as new culture progression and galactic sector systems designed to provide greater depth and complexity in the game.
Moreover, the game also features successful integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology, allowing players to generate content such as the lore, dialogues, quests and more with custom graphics. Even the game’s AI opponents, trained on decades of Stardock’s alien art, have been massively updated to provide an even more challenging yet exciting experience for all types of players.
