The move comes on the back of surging demands for these skills which are expected to have a considerable impact on the global economy. According to projections by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for AI and machine learning professionals in the U.S. is set to grow by 22% by 2030. In addition, PWC predicts that AI has the potential to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2035, with China and the U.S. accounting for 70% of the worldwide impact. Salaries for AI professionals range from $71,034 to $151,063.
Similarly, the cloud computing market size is expected to reach $1.25 trillion by 2028, with a growth rate of 18.9% annually from 2021-28, while job postings for cloud computing roles have grown by 25% annually over the past five years. In 2020 alone, there were over 600,000 job postings for cloud computing roles in the U.S., with salaries ranging from $76,644 to $158,897.
