Fisker, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has made a significant announcement during its Product Vision Day 2023 event. The company unveiled not one, but four new electric vehicles that will expand its current lineup. Previously, Fisker only had the Ocean SUV, but now it is set to introduce the Ronin flagship electric supercar, the Pear compact electric hatchback, the Alaska pickup truck, and an adventure pack for the Ocean called the Force E.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of the Ronin, a 600-mile range electric supercar that will serve as Fisker’s technology carrier to showcase innovations. The Ronin boasts impressive features, including a carbon fiber hardtop and a sleek design reminiscent of the Fisker Karma, the brand’s first-ever vehicle. With a cell-to-chassis battery, the electric luxury GT delivers over 1000 horsepower and an impressive 0-60 mph time of just 2 seconds. The Ronin is expected to launch in the US by the end of 2025.
Another exciting reveal is the Pear, an abbreviation for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution. This compact EV is aimed at digital natives and will start at $29,000, making it an affordable option for consumers. Riding on the SLV1 platform, the Pear offers a range of around 300 miles and features design highlights such as ultra-slim headlamps, radar sensors, cameras in place of wing mirrors, and a unique Houdini trunk that rolls down into the rear bumper, allowing for easy access in tight parking spaces. The Pear is expected to be available on American roads by mid-2025, with plans to sell one million units annually.
Fisker is also entering the electric pickup truck market with the Alaska, which aims to be the world’s most sustainable and lightest truck. Built on the modified FT31 platform, a stretched version of the Ocean platform, the Alaska features a versatile design with a midgate that rolls down and extends the bed length to 9.6 feet. It also offers off-road capabilities, including higher ground clearance, special dampers, and improved approach and departure angles. The Alaska is set to debut in December 2024, with a starting price of $45,400 before incentives.
Additionally, Fisker introduced the Force E, an adventure pack for the Ocean SUV. This add-on package includes rugged features such as off-road tires, aluminum aero wheels, extra-wide fenders, a massive roof rack, protective underbody plates, and special dampers. It will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2024.
Furthermore, Fisker shared details about its new supercomputer, named Blade, which will be the brain of the Pear. This upgradeable and powerful supercomputer supports multiple functions and will enable high-quality graphics renderings and artificial intelligence capabilities.
Overall, Fisker’s Product Vision Day 2023 event showcased the brand’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup with exciting and innovative models. From the high-performance Ronin to the affordable Pear and the adventure-ready Alaska and Force E, Fisker is poised to compete in various segments of the electric vehicle market. With plans for future releases, the future looks promising for Fisker and its contribution to the global transition toward sustainable transportation.
