Google Pixel 8a Leaks in new High Resolution Renders!
Last week, we unveiled the Google Pixel 8a in a range of stunning new colors, including Obsidian, Mint, Porcelain, and Bay. The latest high-resolution renders now showcase these colors in all their glory, particularly the Bay and Mint variants, which look absolutely incredible.
While these new images don’t reveal much new information about the Pixel 8a, they do highlight the phone’s aesthetic appeal. The Bay Pixel 8a, for instance, looks striking when paired with the Bay Silicon case, reminiscent of the stylish Pixel 8 Pro in a matching Bay case. The Pixel 8a promises to be an attractive option for those who love the Bay color and are seeking a more affordable alternative to the Pixel 8 Pro this year.
Anticipation is high for the Pixel 8a’s official launch, expected to take place at Google I/O. The event is scheduled for May 14 and 15 and may witness the debut of the Pixel 8a alongside exciting AI announcements. However, fans should not expect to see the Pixel 9 series, Pixel Fold 2, or Pixel Tablet 2 unveiled at this year’s event.
Regarding pricing, the Pixel 8a is likely to maintain its competitive edge, with an anticipated price tag of $499. This would position it as one of the top sub-$500 smartphones on the market.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 8a is expected to retain several key features, including a 6.1-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Tensor G3 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4500mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging capabilities.
Camera-wise, the Pixel 8a will likely sport a 64-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, omitting the telephoto lens once again. The phone is set to launch with Android 14 and will receive updates to Android 15, following the tradition of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro with up to 7 years of software support.
