Ezra’s AI Technology Identifies Cancer Early with Full-Body MRI Scanner

Date:

Ezra, a New York-based company, has developed a full-body cancer screener that uses MRI imaging technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to scan for the early detection of cancer in up to 13 organs. The FDA recently cleared the implementation of Ezra Flash, the company’s new AI that improves the imaging results of scans. This allows for faster, higher-quality results at a lower cost. The ultimate goal of the company is to create a $500 full-body MRI scan that anyone can afford. Ezra aims to offer an end-to-end cancer screening platform that’s accessible and convenient for everyone.

Emi Gal, the founder and CEO of Ezra, was inspired to develop the technology after losing his mother to melanoma and being at high risk for developing the disease himself. The company believes that early detection is the cure for cancer and aims to provide affordable screening procedures for everyone. Ezra is currently operating in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, and Las Vegas. The company partners with existing ACR-accredited facilities where the scans are performed.

One patient who underwent a preventative full-body cancer screening with Ezra discovered a potentially life-saving finding through the process. Identified with an alarmingly large brain tumor that would otherwise go undetected until symptoms arise, the patient was able to receive an intervention before the condition progressed to an advanced stage, which would require more aggressive treatment. With a goal to make the MRI scan accessible to anyone and to monitor body health accurately over time, Ezra is also working towards reducing the cost of their services.
