Disney has recently wrapped up filming for the upcoming installment in the Tron franchise, titled Tron: Ares. The filming took place in Vancouver, Canada, over the past few months, under the direction of Joachim Rønning.
Tron: Ares follows the story of a sophisticated Program named Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humanity’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jared Leto, Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson.
Director Joachim Rønning expressed his gratitude to the hardworking crew and talented cast, stating that they pushed the limits of filmmaking on this project. With filming now complete, the team will focus on completing special effects and any necessary reshoots before the film’s release in cinemas on October 10, 2025.
Producers of Tron: Ares include Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger, with Russell Allen serving as executive producer.
