Ex-Wife of Popular OAP Do2dtun Urges Him to Stop Involving Kids in Divorce Proceedings
Omotayo Oyebanjo, the ex-wife of popular On Air Personality (OAP) Kayode Oladotun, also known as Do2dtun, has sent a strong message to the OAP, urging him to stop using their children as pawns in their divorce proceedings. Omotayo, who is the sister of singer Dapo Oyebanjo (D’Banj), took to Instagram to express her concerns and the need to prioritize the well-being of their two daughters.
In her statement, Omotayo clarified that their children are doing well and emphasized the importance of keeping them out of their marital separation. She refuted the allegations made by her ex-husband regarding the custody of their children, stating that he has access to them as per the court’s decision. Omotayo went on to reveal disturbing details of her past with Do2dtun, accusing him of subjecting her to domestic violence and emotional abuse, as well as forcing her to have an abortion when she was five months pregnant.
The couple, who got married in 2013 and had two children together, is currently going through a divorce. Omotayo instituted divorce proceedings in November 2021, citing unending reckless emotional abuse, forced abortion, and vicious domestic violence as reasons for the separation. She claims that these actions have had a detrimental effect on her health and overall well-being.
In response to Do2dtun’s recent claims of being denied access to his daughter, Omotayo clarified that their children are too young to be exposed to social media and that their well-being should be the top priority. She called for an amicable resolution of the children’s issue, urging Do2dtun’s lawyers to engage with her legal team to find a mutually beneficial solution while maintaining the confidentiality of her address.
Omotayo also addressed Do2dtun’s social media posts and attempts to rally support, pointing out that their divorce proceedings should not be a platform for public scrutiny. She emphasized that their children deserve to be shielded from the turmoil surrounding their separation. Despite their differences, Omotayo highlighted instances where she facilitated access to their children during holidays and claimed to have emphasized the importance of shared custody.
Furthermore, Omotayo expressed her disappointment with Do2dtun’s reaction to her concerns about their children’s exposure on social media. She revealed that he blocked her on all communication platforms, escalating the tensions between them. She called for restraint and urged him to refrain from involving her innocent family in their disputes, emphasizing the need for healing and closure for the sake of their children.
As the divorce proceedings continue, it is crucial for both parties to prioritize the well-being of their children and find a resolution that benefits everyone involved. The public nature of their dispute serves as a reminder that divorce is a challenging and sensitive process, especially when children are involved. It is hoped that Do2dtun and Omotayo can navigate this difficult situation with empathy and consideration, ensuring the best possible outcome for their daughters.
