Enhancing Capabilities of Virtual Employee Through Piloting ChatGPT by Dewa

Date:

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is an organization that is dedicated to providing power and water services in the city of Dubai. In an effort to improve customer experience, the organization initiated a pilot launch of ChatGPT, a customer-focused Artificial Intelligence technology, on its website, Rammas, earlier this year.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dewa has been leading the charge in embracing AI technology across all its operations and services. His efforts to reduce the number of customer visits at the customer happiness centers and to enable the citizens of Dubai to experience a smarter and happier life are in line with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 and the Dubai 10X initiative.

Al Tayer also noted that the implementation of ChatGPT in Rammas is a step towards achieving Digital Dewa, an ambitious effort to revolutionize the digital transformation of Dubai. Since its launch in 2017, Rammas has responded to over seven million inquiries. ChatGPT is set to further empower the virtual employee by recognizing user needs better and responding in a more accurate and timely manner.

It is clear that AI technology is one of the stepping stones Dubai is taking towards becoming the smartest and happiest city in the world. With Dewa leading the charge in this regard, the residents of Dubai can look forward to better customer experience in the near future.
