Elon Musk to Create AI to Counter ‘Politically Correct’ ChatGPT

Date:

Billionaire Twitter owner Elon Musk has recently proposed the creation of a counter AI to ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot built on OpenAI’s GPT system, due to its alleged liberal biases. Musk intends to call his alternative creation “TruthGPT”, stating it would be “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.” He is vocal about the dangers of artificial intelligence, expressing the opinion that regulating its development is essential.

To aid his foray into AI, Musk has incorporated X.AI Corp, a business based in Nevada. Furthermore, he previously belonged to OpenAI as a co-chair of its board for a few years before resigning in 2018. Though the startup claimed it was due to Musk’s Tesla work on automated driving coinciding with OpenAI’s, Musk told Tucker Carlson from Fox News he left because he needed to put more focus into engineering solutions at Tesla and due to discord between himself and OpenAI’s leaders. In the conversation with Tucker, he also said he found it necessary to never be affiliated with OpenAI again due to the company’s transition from a non-profitAI research lab to one closely linked to Microsoft.

This interview also ran alongside news of another prominent figure being chosen as a United Nations ambassador: Baaba Maal, a senegalese musician. The UN appointed him as their ambassador of Desertification. Having been a committed advocate of sustainable development and the environment, Maal accepted the position in an effort to call people to action and spread awareness about climate-related issues.
