Elon Musk Set to Challenge Google Communications with New Chatbot TruthGPT

Date:

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the CEO of Twitter, has announced plans to launch his own artificial intelligence (AI) venture called TruthGPT. In an interview with Fox News, Musk stated that the motive behind the launch is to counter popular AI chatbot services such as ChatGPT (developed by OpenAI) and Google’s recently launched Bard.

Musk’s latest AI venture is motivated by the fast-paced development of AI, which could potentially be a threat to humanity. He named the new initiative with a simple yet powerful mission: “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe” and hopes it does more good than harm.

The news was released alongside the announcement of a new feature from Twitter which will allow users to optionally encrypt their direct messages. The encryption technology is expected to be launched by the end of next month. Additionally, Musk recently joined a variety of tech experts, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, to urge the world to temporarily pause AI experiments out of concern for the risk it could pose to civilization.

Musk’s latest endeavor has stirred up a plethora of discussions and speculations on the future of AI and its potential impacts on the world. A recent Goldman Sachs report predicted that generative AI technologies, including ChatGPT, could expose nearly 300 million full-time jobs around the world.

Elon Musk has established himself as an innovative entrepreneur with many successful ventures such as Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter. He is also the co-founder of Microsoft-backed OpenAI, and has voiced his concerns about the implications of the rapid development of AI. With the launch of TruthGPT, Musk is aiming to ensure that AI technologies are used responsibly and ethically.
