Elon Musk Set to Challenge Google Communications with New Chatbot TruthGPT

Date:

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX as well as the CEO of Twitter, recently announced he is planning to launch a cutting-edge AI venture TruthGPT. During an interview with Fox News, he revealed the upcoming launch of a feature that will allow users to encrypt their direct messages to counter popular generative AI chatbot platforms like ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, and Bard, Google’s newly released conversational AI chatbot tool.

Motivating his plan, Musk expressed his concerns of the rapid development of AI that could pose a threat to civil society. He is also a co-founder of Microsoft-backed OpenAI and warned in the past of the potential dangers AI poses to civilization. With TruthGPT, Musk’s goal is to create an AI system with maximum truth-seeking potential that strives to better understand the universe and bring more good than harm.

Twitter has been merged into a new shell firm X Corp and it is believed that Musk has hired researchers from DeepMind for a Twitter AI project. He has also joined a group of tech experts led by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in urging for a pause on the advances of giant AI experiments due to the risks it presents to society.

In a recent report from Goldman Sachs, generative AI technologies could expose 300 million full-time jobs to automation and this just furthers the fears of job security.

Elon Musk is an engineering, business and technology mogul and founder of Tesla, Inc., a publicly traded electric car and energy storage company, and SpaceX, a space exploration company. Throughout his career, he has made significant financial and technological contributions that have forever changed the way we think about space exploration, renewable energy and computer science. Today, he remains one of the most influential people in the tech world and a leader in the development of artificial intelligence.
