Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said his state’s e-Adhigam Scheme is proving to be a boon for poor students on Saturday. This scheme was launched about a year ago with the objective to implement digital education and providing online education to those belonging to impoverished families. 5.5 lakh students have been given tablet computers and 2GB of free data per day, according to Khattar.
He interacted with the students via audio-conferencing who received these tablets under this scheme. Khattar encouraged the students to aim high and reach their goals. The Digital India vision of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, can be accomplished with this e-Adhigam initiative by the BJP-JJP Government of Haryana, he added.
The e-Adhigam scheme was implemented to provide tablet computers to government school students of Classes 10 and 12 and 37,370 teachers. Schools were initiated to take necessary action towards this distribution. The government strives to achieve 60% of students and teachers having access to tablets by the end of May.
During the conference call, students expressed how the tablets have aided them in prepping for competitive exams. The pandemic heightened the need for digital gadgets for students in order for them not to suffer any academic downfall. Consequently, tablets were distributed to students from Rohtak and inaugurated on May 5, 2020.
The National Education Policy with the objective to upgrade skill sets of students will be completely executed by 2025. Students having access to digital devices at the school level will now likely be able to get a grip of the 21st century skills such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, coding and gaming.
The E-Adhigam scheme is empowering the lives of thousands of students and teachers, due to the use of Information Technology in the educational domain. The launch of the e-Adhigam initative highlights the progressive goals of the BJP-JJP Government of Haryana and emphasizes the commitment to the Digital India vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
