Domo is enhancing its AI suite by adding prebuilt models and chat capabilities. During its user conference, the company announced the launch of App Studio and an update of Cloud Amplifier, bringing new features to the AI suite.
Previously, Domo had integrated with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and offered NLP capabilities, AI Model Management, and SDKs. Now, the vendor plans to introduce AI Chat and Universal Models to the suite.
AI Chat allows users to interact with their data using natural language, offering transparency by showing the steps taken to generate responses. This focus on transparency is crucial for Domo, with senior vice president of product Ben Schein emphasizing the importance of showcasing their work.
On the other hand, Universal Models aim to reduce the reliance on data scientists by providing prebuilt AI models for various use cases like scenario planning, sentiment analysis, and anomaly detection. This move is significant as it enables organizations to apply AI to diverse tasks without a dedicated data science team.
AI analyst Mike Leone praised Domo’s transparency and focus on traditional AI with Universal Models, addressing the prevalent trend of generative AI in the industry. The introduction of these new features reflects Domo’s response to customer demands for enhanced NLP capabilities and the need to democratize advanced analytics techniques.
As the industry evolves, Domo is adapting and innovating to meet the changing demands of users, offering a comprehensive AI suite that caters to a wide range of analytics needs. With the introduction of AI Chat and Universal Models, Domo continues to position itself as a leader in the AI space, empowering organizations to harness the power of AI for data exploration and analysis.
