Doha Forum Youth Edition: Global Youth Gather to Shape a Shared Future
The Doha Forum Youth Edition is set to commence in Doha, Qatar on Friday, November 17, 2023. This collaborative event, organized by the Qatar Debate Center, will take place at the Education City and the National Museum of Qatar. It is expected that 100 young individuals, including trainers and influencers, representing 75 countries, along with 25 participants from Qatar, will come together to participate in this youth-focused initiative.
Under the theme of Building a Shared Future, the Youth Edition provides a platform for young voices to engage in discussions surrounding global issues across four key areas: international relations and defense, politics, economy and development, cybersecurity and data privacy, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. The event aims to empower and involve young people between the ages of 18-33 in shaping development and progress in societies.
These sessions will feature thought-provoking questions and encourage dialogue among speakers and attendees. The Youth Edition also seeks to equip participants with negotiation skills, promote innovative solutions, and enhance their ability to express opinions confidently.
The forum sessions will include influential figures from diverse backgrounds, both in politics and society, as well as members of the Qatar Debate Center. Two roundtable discussions will facilitate interactive dialogue and extract crucial outcomes that will be directed towards decision-makers at the main event, the Doha Youth Forum.
Participants in the Doha Forum Youth Edition can look forward to engaging in various activities aimed at skill development and knowledge enrichment. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to go on informational tours and visit renowned heritage landmarks in Qatar.
This event serves as one of the purposeful activities organized by the Qatar Debate Center, highlighting the significance of dialogue in addressing contemporary issues and shared challenges. Through dialogic circles and discussion sessions, the event encourages open and constructive conversations.
Following the Youth Edition, the Doha Forum, a prominent policy gathering on the global stage, will reconvene under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, on December 10 and 11, 2023.
