San Francisco-based analytics firm Distyl AI has recently raised $7 million in seed funding and has partnered with OpenAI, a leading research organization in the field. The funding was led by Coatue and Dell Technologies Capital with Nat Friedman, CEO of GitHub; Brad Gerstner, founder and CEO of Altimeter; and Harvard Business School professor Jim Cash also participating in the round.
Distyl AI was founded by former Palantir employees Arjun Prakash and Derek Ho. It specializes in helping large companies integrate generative artificial intelligence and language models into their business workflows. This includes tasks such as marketing, sales, customer service and product development.
The collaboration with OpenAI will enable Distyl AI to access the latest AI applied research models as well as infrastructure with the highest standards of reliability, scalability and security. This is what Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI, had to say about the partnership: “We are excited to collaborate with the exceptional team at Distyl AI. Their vision and technical expertise will empower enterprises to integrate OpenAI technologies and unlock new potential for their customers.”
The main goal of Distyl AI is to make sure generative AI is fully integrated into enterprise-level companies, while also providing necessary customization according to a company’s unique data. Task decomposition is a method of simplifying complex business processes, which entails breaking down each task and templatizing them to be reused across different solutions, resulting in scalability.
Distyl AI’s team includes experts from the top organizations, such as Apple, BlackRock and Citadel. It is working with Fortune 1000 enterprises to leverage the power of generative AI to create tangible business outcomes. Nat Friedman, CEO of GitHub and creator of GitHub Copilot, is confident that Distyl AI is a promising company: “I’ve been looking for a company like Distyl. The challenge in creating value from Generative AI is in the complexity of the last mile, and there is an obvious need for someone relentlessly focused on creating adoption of AI in enterprises. This team has the rare combination of expertise, experience, and obsession to create value for large enterprises.”
Apart from the collaboration with OpenAI, Distyl AI is also striving to understand their customers’ needs and collectively bring the “voice of the enterprise” to the OpenAI team. The collaboration between Distyl AI and OpenAI is an incredible opportunity for industry leaders to see firsthand the power of generative AI and large language models.
Distyl AI is headed by Arjun Prakash. He has a wealth of experience in product development, analytics and a deep understanding of Ai-based solutions in business. He has also emphasized that Distyl AI is going to use the funding to attract talent, build their platform and create the most competent and reliable product-centric experiences.
The technology that Distyl AI proposes is an innovative and promising move that could revolutionize the tech industry. Together with Open AI’s cutting-edge AI and infrastructure, this provides a valuable opportunity for large organizations to upgrade their core processes and stay ahead of their competition.
The Distyl AI team will be hosting more business-focused events to further spread the use of generative AI with enterprises. Join top executives in San Francisco on July 11-12, 2021 to discuss the different ways in which AI investments can be optimized for success.
