Delhi Vigilance Minister Accuses Destruction of Digital Evidence in Controversial Tender Deal Involving Chief Secretary’s Son
The Vigilance Minister of Delhi, Atishi, has alleged that crucial digital evidence related to a controversial tender deal involving the son of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar is being destroyed. This claim comes after the Minister raised serious allegations against the Chief Secretary, accusing him of unfairly benefiting his son in securing a tender from the Delhi government. Atishi has submitted an additional report to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, detailing the accusations against Naresh Kumar.
According to the allegations, Naresh Kumar’s son, Karan Chauhan, and his company MetaMix were tasked with developing an artificial intelligence (AI) software for the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) Hospital in Delhi without going through the proper tender process. It is further claimed that the company profited greatly from this deal, making hundreds of crores in windfall profits.
However, the ILBS Hospital has refuted these allegations, stating that Karan Chauhan is not associated with the hospital in any capacity and is not a signatory to the memorandum of understanding (MoU). The hospital also questioned the clarification issued by Atishi regarding the matter.
In the additional report submitted by Atishi, she raises concerns over the deletion of digital evidence from various social media platforms. It is alleged that posts, links, and announcements related to Karan Chauhan, MetaMix, and the partnership between ILBS and MetaMix are being deliberately deleted to suppress the facts and destroy evidence. Atishi highlights the removal of MetaMix’s official LinkedIn profile, which previously mentioned the collaboration with ILBS to establish an innovation lab.
The report also points out the deletion of a tweet from the ILBS Hospital’s Twitter profile, dated September 1, 2023, that referenced the ILBS-MetaMix partnership. Atishi argues that the ILBS statement does not deny the undeniable facts that have resulted in significant financial and reputational gains for MetaMix.
MetaMix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has released a statement denying any involvement of an individual named Karan Chauhan within the company as a stakeholder, director, or employee.
In conclusion, the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged tender deal involving Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar’s son continues to escalate. The accusation of the destruction of digital evidence adds a new dimension to the case, with Atishi presenting her findings to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. It remains to be seen how this situation will unfold and whether further investigations will shed light on the claims made by the Delhi government against Naresh Kumar and MetaMix.
