Cyera, a data security company, has integrated with Azure OpenAI to accelerate multi-cloud data security, privacy, and governance. The integration allows Cyera customers to make faster and informed decisions on data security. Cyera’s data security platform enables security teams to take confident and swift action by automatically understanding the intent behind the data being managed, deriving business context, and applying the right security, privacy, and compliance policies to uncover and remediate exposures to structured and unstructured data.
Integrating large language models from OpenAI enables security practitioners to use free-form language to match data stores, data classes, and issues based on the business problems they are trying to solve. Cyera’s unified policy engine can identify misconfigurations, generate new policies for data access governance and recommends access controls.
As we continue to develop the technology, teams even entire data defense ecosystems can leverage Cyera’s deep data context to make their security controls as dynamic as their data, said Tamar Bar-Ilan, Co-founder, and CTO of Cyera.
The integration of OpenAI’s large language models will accelerate how Cyera governs access to sensitive data. Cyera said that it is excited about harnessing the power of generative AI to secure data in the cloud.
With the current state of data breaches and privacy exposures, we’re excited about the way Cyera is harnessing the power of generative AI. Adding the expansive training data and cognitive capabilities offered by Azure OpenAI will accelerate the innovative approach Cyera has taken to securing data in the cloud, said Philippe Botteri Partner at Accel.
