Creative Beast Studio has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its unique science fiction IP called Cyberzoic. This exciting venture aims to captivate sci-fi, fantasy, wildlife, and action figure enthusiasts with its intricate action figures and comic book series. The story of Cyberzoic revolves around the near-extinction of humankind and features armored dinosaurs, fearsome dragons, prehistoric mammals, and various alien wildlife.
This project is the brainchild of toy designer David Silva, who was inspired by classic sci-fi and fantasy properties such as Dino-Riders, Transformers, Masters of the Universe, and Zoids. With over 20 years of experience designing figures for major entertainment brands like Star Wars and Jurassic Park, Silva is now bringing his Cyberzoic vision to life.
Silva expressed his excitement about finally being able to develop a story that combines people, dinosaurs, and dragons. He aims to present unique ideas and concepts that have never been seen before while exploring our connection with other forms of life, both familiar and alien.
The initial goal of the Kickstarter campaign is set at $205,000. This funding will be used to create new action figures, including the two main characters, Dragolina and Argentues, as well as an Allosaurus, an Arctic Dragon, and a Saber-toothed Tiger. The project also plans to represent four human clans, namely Tech, Fire, Dragon, and Desert, who coexist with dragons, dinosaurs, prehistoric mammals, and alien wildlife. Stretch goals include the addition of popular dinosaurs like Dilophosaurus, Deinonychus, Carnotaurus, Utahraptor, and Achillobator.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will also receive an exclusive art print and concept art calendar for 2024. A comic book will be included with the figures, providing a vivid visual representation of the Cyberzoic story.
The captivating setting of Cyberzoic takes place in the year 2170 AD, where humanity has discovered an Earth-like planet called Gaea 2. This planet is teeming with alien wildlife, including highly-intelligent dragons. As humans colonize the planet, the dragons fiercely fight back, leading to a devastating loss of communication between Gaea 2 and Earth. To combat the dragons, the remaining humans genetically engineer embryos that birth Earth’s mightiest prehistoric creatures. Equipped with protective armor, these creatures help humans defend against the dragon attacks and terraform Gaea 2, ultimately saving the human species but destroying the planet’s natural habitats.
As the colonizers divide into factions, conflicts arise, and power struggles ensue. Each clan champions its own philosophy for the long-term survival of humanity, leading to tense alliances and the development of devastating new technologies.
The Cyberzoic Kickstarter campaign will continue until November 2nd at 9 pm ET. Backers have the opportunity to support this unique sci-fi IP and help unlock additional animals, human characters, and armor units as stretch goals.
