Creating a New Dating App with AI to Spark Romance: Dispo Not Involved with David Dobrik

Date:

The team behind David Dobrik’s Dispo app is rolling out a new dating app utilizing AI technology to ignite relationships. TeaserAI, described as “less talk, more action,” is currently being tested on the Apple App Store and set for release in May 2021. The Cofounder and CEO of Dispo, Daniel Liss, is the main contact for the new app, however David Dobrik is not involved.

The concept of TeaserAI is to use AI-driven conversations between the singles rather than talk. A user’s AI representation will learn through their profile and conversations and adapt as they chat with possible matches. When a match is identified, the conversation will then be given over to the two users as they take it from there. Aiming to curb out catfishing and creeps, this app will also require account verifications.

Dispo is a photo sharing app that first released in 2019, which includes photo filters and other features. The company was able to rake in $20 million in Series A funds and was nearly valued at $200 million. In 2021, Dobrik stepped down from his board role and investors cut ties from the app in the wake of an Insider article investigation around a member of the Dobrik Vlog Squad.

AI technology is increasingly spreading with its applications in many areas, such as YouTube, video games, and podcasters, as well as the dating scene. Teaser AI might just be the solution for ghosting by incorporating its automated features and allowing users to converse with their potential match’s AI first before actually meeting them.
