He has been experimenting with AI tools like Midjourney and Runway AI for a while now, which is how he created the idea of the commercial for Pepperoni Hug Spot – a fictional pizza business. His creative process began with understanding the surreal AI clip of Will Smith eating spaghetti created on Runway, and he then tried to come up with the clips of people eating food to the background.

The entire process, according to Pizza Later, only took three hours to gather all the assets of the commercial and create the professional sounding and resonant voice-over using AI voiceover technology. He created stills using Midjourney, and weird clips were also created using Runway AI. To create a script for the commercial, he took help from GPT-4 and asked it to generate sentences within a specific tone that could add to the eerieness and humour. He even named it Pepperoni Hug Spot, based on his ideas and GPT-4s input.

The only thing that AI cannot yet do is edit videos; VHS filters, transitions and sound effects of the commercial were added manually. However, Pizza Later mentioned that AI still makes the process much quicker and efficient. He believes that soon AI-generated video production could be used to create 30-minute episodes of favorite shows or movies.
