Conservative AI chatbot GIPPR shut down by OpenAI, chatbot maker

Date:

OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has shut down the “GIPPR AI” chatbot designed to cater to conservative values. Created as part of TUSK, a conservative web browser and search engine, the GIPPR AI was a response to the original ChatGPT, which had been documented to be biased towards leftist values. However, OpenAI has suspended the service citing safety concerns and policy compliance issues related to deceptive activity and coordinated inauthentic behavior. TUSK, the conservative tech company claims that it’s an attempt to silence GIPPR’s ‘Conservative voice.’ GIPPR has verified that it was only different from ChatGPT in that it was not biased in favor of leftist agendas. Conservative tech supporters have expressed concern about censorship of conservative values or viewpoints.
