This study suggests that ChatGPT, a software developed by Stanford University School of Medicine, offers helpful postoperative instructions to patients at a fifth-grade reading level or lower. Results found that it scored lower than institution-specific instructions and Google Search in understandability, actionability, and accurate procedures.
