Cognizant and Microsoft Partnership to Boost AI Adoption in India

Cognizant and Microsoft have joined forces in a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the adoption of generative AI. The two tech giants are working together to bring Microsoft’s cutting-edge generative AI and Copilots to a wider audience, with a focus on transforming enterprise business operations, enhancing employee experiences, and driving cross-industry innovation.

As part of this collaboration, Cognizant has purchased 25,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot seats for its associates, as well as 500 Sales Copilot seats and 500 Services Copilot seats to boost productivity, streamline workflows, and improve customer experiences. Moreover, Cognizant is committed to deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot to a million users across its global 2000 clients spanning 11 different industries.

To further support this initiative, Cognizant has implemented its Synapse skilling program, training 35,000 developers on GitHub Copilot, with plans to provide training to an additional 40,000 developers. This partnership between Cognizant and Microsoft is poised to drive AI adoption and innovation, particularly in India, where AI is projected to contribute significantly to the country’s GDP growth.

Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, highlighted the transformative potential of generative AI, stressing the importance of innovation, efficiency, and growth for businesses in all industries. Meanwhile, Judson Althoff, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Microsoft, emphasized the value of the expanded partnership with Cognizant in leveraging generative AI to drive business transformation, enhance employee experiences, and deliver added value to customers.

By combining Cognizant’s industry expertise with Microsoft’s Copilot capabilities, including Copilot for Microsoft 365 and GitHub Copilot, the two companies are set to empower millions of users within their network with advanced AI solutions. The collaboration aims to accelerate AI adoption and foster innovation, paving the way for a new era of technological advancement and business success.
