The need for skilled professionals in cybersecurity and networking is growing, especially for manufacturing companies seeking to accelerate their digital transformation towards Industry 4.0 technologies, according to New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH).

Under the collaboration, NAMTECH and Cisco have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop academic programs focused on cybersecurity, networking, and AI experiential learning and training modules for the manufacturing industry. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry application, preparing young students for careers in the era of Industry 4.0.

NAMTECH, funded by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India, is located at IIT Gandhinagar. The signing of the agreement took place at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 in Gandhinagar.

This collaboration between Cisco and NAMTECH will play a crucial role in equipping the manufacturing industry with the necessary skills and knowledge to adopt advanced technologies and enhance their cybersecurity measures. With the increasing threat of cyberattacks and the rapid development of AI, it is essential for companies to prioritize training in these areas.

The partnership also highlights the commitment of both Cisco and NAMTECH to support the government’s vision of a skilled workforce and digital transformation in the manufacturing sector. By providing training and creating a talent pipeline, this collaboration will contribute to India’s efforts in becoming a global manufacturing hub.
