Speaking at Keio University in Tokyo, Altman predicted that large language models would go much further, leading the world to advance as much as it has in the past 500 years. He also said that the impact of AI on education would be significant, with new tools increasing the potential of students. He added that while some jobs may disappear due to technological advances, it would be freeing for people, allowing them to work at a higher and more creative level, and new classes of jobs would emerge over time.
