Real estate company Zillow recently introduced its new ChatGPT plugin, which helps users to search for houses to buy or rent. This AI chatbot is expected to be launched this May, helping users to find the right property quickly and efficiently.
The chatbot will provide users with information based on their preferences such as location and budget. For example, when a user is searching for a townhouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms in Seattle with a budget of less than 800,000, the chatbot will be able to quickly search its database and provide relevant findings. However, the chatbot cannot act on behalf of the user by scheduling an in-person tour or connecting with a real estate agent.
The plugin is currently being tested and refined by the company with OpenAI to enhance the user experience. According to Zillow CTO David Beitel, “Generative AI is transforming the way people seek information. We understand the power of this technology and hope to improve by creating more impressive technology with OpenAI.”
The AI chatbot’s responses are limited to ensure Zillow’s data policies are followed and are not illegal or unethical. The company stated that it has no control over how other companies, such as ChatGPT, use the data.
